Five Borough Forensics is a dedicated forensic psychological evaluation team, providing culturally competent assessments in both English and Spanish. Through a comprehensive evaluation process, we identify the specific questions to be answered for our client, and provide a thorough assessment to answer our referral questions. We work diligently in our written report response to provide an expert opinion in matters related to clinical psychology so that the results are clearly and concisely communicated to those involved.
Dr. Fernandez graduated Connecticut College, and graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from New School University followed by a Doctorate of Psychology degree from Alliant International University, CSPP.
After completing graduate school, Dr. Fernandez received intensive training in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting at North Central Bronx Hospital. This led to a position working with the as an adult outpatient psychologist at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center.
Dr. Fernandez maintained a small private practice working with justice involved clients. This led to serving as the Clinical Director at EAC Queens TASC Mental Health Diversion Program, working with the Queens Supreme Court. Dr. Fernandez is currently a consulting psychologist with EAC.
While working at Lincoln Hospital and EAC Queens TASC, Dr. Fernandez has taught various courses in psychology as an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College and John Jay College. He is currently an Adjunct Professor with Roger Williams University, teaching classes in the Forensic Mental Health Counseling program.
